One of the main strategic objectives in Aplik is improving levels of Occupational Safety and Health. In order to reach high levels of performance on these areas and achieve what companies call “zero harm” is that we signed a Technique Cooperation Protocol with the Occupational Health Institute (IST, for it´s initial in spanish).
Aplik is currently participating in the PASSO program for Managing Occupational Safety and Health. The methodology of implementation for it, conains three stages to qualify the company: Planned Passo, Operating Passo and Passo-in-Action, that will help to achieve performance levels on development in Occupational Health and Safety based on the International Standard OHSAS 18001:2007.
This project has a duration of 12 months and at the end, Aplik can be certificated in OHSAS 18001:2007 through a Certification House. The first stage of this project (PASSO Planned) ends in march, when the company will be audited. This process will help to lay foundations on the road to international certification as a safe company to its employees.
